Flash’s offer at a glance
- 0% retailer commission
- 1 store per territory
- 0% customer service charge
You retain your sales revenue without a platform commission deduction. That does not mean every sale is profit: stock, staffing, delivery, payment processing and any agreed setup, subscription or marketing costs still need to be considered.
Side-by-side comparison
| What matters | Flash Delivery | Snappy Shopper |
|---|---|---|
| Retailer commission | 0% retailer commission. No platform commission deducted from sales. | Retailer fees apply under the retailer agreement. Snappy advertises low commission; no universal percentage is quoted here. [2, 4] |
| Customer service charge | 0% customer service charge. This is separate from any delivery charge. | Customer terms provide for a service charge. Delivery charges are separate. [1] |
| Stores and territory | 1 Flash partner store per territory. No other Flash partner shares that territory. | Customers choose among stores delivering to their address, where available. Individual territory protections must be checked in the agreement. [3] |
| If your area is taken | You need to join a waiting list if your Flash territory is already taken. | Enquire about local onboarding and any restrictions; acceptance or immediate availability is not guaranteed. |
| Potential advantage | No commission deduction and no customer service charge; territory exclusivity avoids competition from another Flash partner in that territory. | A marketplace where customers can discover and choose local stores; suitability depends on local coverage and commercial terms. [3] |
| Key limitation | Exclusive territories limit availability. Other store costs still apply, and order volumes are not guaranteed. | Account for retailer fees, the customer service charge and potential store choice in your local area. [1, 2, 3] |
Why consider Flash first?
If your territory is available, Flash offers an exclusive Flash partner territory with 0% retailer commission and 0% customer service charge. These terms may appeal to retailers who want to avoid platform commission and reduce customer checkout friction.
Flash reports that retailers it speaks with often consider Flash their first option when a territory is free. This is Flash’s sales-team observation, not independently verified market-wide preference data.
The exclusivity trade-off
One store per territory is both a benefit and a limitation. If another Flash store already holds your territory, you need to join a waiting list. Territory exclusivity applies to Flash partners; it does not prevent other delivery services or local stores competing for customers.
Snappy’s marketplace can offer customers a choice of stores. Whether that means more or fewer orders for your store depends on local demand, competition and execution — not simply the number of listed stores.
Will Flash produce higher order volumes?
No customer service charge may reduce checkout friction, and one Flash store per territory avoids sharing that Flash territory with another Flash partner. These are potential advantages, not proof of higher orders than Snappy. Customer demand, pricing, delivery reliability, marketing and local competition all affect results. Service charges and marketplace competition alone do not prove that Snappy retailers receive fewer orders.
